Çetinkaya Türk Spor Kulübü, kurucu üyesi olduğu Kıbrıs Futbol Federasyonu’nun 92. Yılını buruk bir mesajla kutladı.

Konuyla ilgili açıklama yapan sarı kırımızılı kulüp, “Evladımız saydığımız KOP’un 92. yılı kutlu olsun; ancak unutulmasın ki, asıl sahibi ve kurucusu olmadan yazılan hiçbir tarih tam değildir!” ifadelerine yer verdi.

Çetinkaya’nın söz konusu açıklamayı Türkçe, İngilizce ve Rumca olarak 3 dilde yapması da dikkat çekti.

1934'te kurucu ortağı ve öz öz evladı olduğumuz Kıbrıs Futbol Federasyonu’nun (KOP) 92. yaşını, tarihin tozlu sayfalarından silinemeyecek o derin buruklukla "kutluyoruz." Tıpkı bağrından koparılan, elinden zorla alınan bir evladın ardından yanan bir anne yüreği gibi; harcında alın terimiz, imzamız ve ruhumuz olan bu yapının bizden uzaklaştırılmış olmasının sitemini ve acısını her yıl aynı tazelikle hissediyoruz. Γιορτάζουμε την 92η επέτειο της Κυπριακής Ομοσπονδίας Ποδοσφαίρου (KOP), της οποίας είμαστε ιδρυτικό μέλος και διαρκούμε από το 1934, με μια βαθιά πικρία που δεν μπορεί να σβηστεί από τις σκονισμένες σελίδες της ιστορίας.

Όπως η καρδιά μιας μητέρας που καίγεται αφού ένα παιδί της αποσπάται από τον κόρφο και της αφαιρείται βίαια, νιώθουμε την αγανάκτηση και τον πόνο αυτής της δομής, στα θεμέλια της οποίας τέθηκαν ο ιδρώτας, η υπογραφή και το πνεύμα μας, που μας αφαιρούνται με την ίδια φρεσκάδα κάθε χρόνο. ÇETİNKAYA: A FOUNDING SON OF CYPRUS TURKISH FOOTBALL AND THE KOP

92 years of history. 92 years of memories. And a history that cannot be erased.

In 1934, Çetinkaya stood among the founding members of the Cyprus Football Association (CFA/KOP). We were not merely a participant in its history — we were part of its foundation.

Today, as the KOP marks its 92nd anniversary, we commemorate this occasion with mixed emotions. There is pride in the history we helped build, but also a deep and lasting sense of sorrow over what was taken away from us.

It is the pain of a mother separated from her child; the pain of seeing something that was built with our sweat, our signatures, our commitment and our very spirit taken beyond our reach.

Çetinkaya is not simply a football club. Çetinkaya is one of the roots of football on this island. Our history is woven into the very foundations of the game and into the story of the KOP itself.

We therefore acknowledge the KOP’s 92nd anniversary — but we also remind everyone that history cannot be rewritten by leaving out those who helped create it.

A history that excludes its founders is an incomplete history.

Generations may pass, institutions may change, and circumstances may evolve. But historical facts remain.

Çetinkaya was there at the beginning.

Çetinkaya helped build the foundations.

And Çetinkaya’s place in the history of football on this island cannot be erased.

On this 92nd anniversary, we remember our history with pride, our losses with sadness, and our identity with dignity.

The history of the KOP is also part of Çetinkaya’s history.
